Why do you need an invitation to come to Russia?

To enter Russia, foreigners need a visa, which can be obtained in a Russian consulate. At the consulate you will be asked to produce an invitation.

What kind of invitation do you need? 

If you stay in Russsia for up to 30 days, you need a tourist voucher (invitation). For a stay of over 30 days you need a business invitation lasting 3, 6 or 12 months, as you wish.

What must you do?

In order to provide you with a visa we need to following information:

-Name, Surname

-Date of your journey (from the... to the...)

-Date of birth

-Nationality

-Passport number

-Your approximate route (for example Saint Petersburg-Moscow)

-From which Russian consulate you plan to obtain your visa (City, country)

-The hotel you will be staying at, (obtional)

-A fax number we can send the invitation to

Pay the fee of  20 Euro on the "payment" page of our site indicating your Name and your order (for example a tourist voucher). You will receive your invitation via fax as well as a copy by E-mail within the next 24 hours, Saturday and Sunday excluded.

It generally takes the Russian consulate 8 to 14 days to deliver a visa. We recommend you send us your details at least 15 days before your arrival in Russia so as to avoid having to pay an urgency surcharge at the consulate.

Extra information:

Don't forget that besides an invitation, you will need a medical insurance as well as a document proving you are HIV negative if you are purchasing a visa for more than 3 months.

Most Russian consulates only accept original invitations (by mail) for business visas: add postage expenses to the rates above!

Last of all, don't forget to register your immigration card and visa within 3 days of your arrival in Russia.

Registration: 

If you are staying at a hotel, it is the responsibility of the hotel to register you free of charge.

If you are staying with friends, in a family or renting a flat, the owner should register you, otherwise we can do it for you. The registration fee varies from 20 to 30 euros. The invitation fee including registration is 30 Euro

(Saint Petersburg only).
