Cultural tour to Belarus – duration 1 week.

This tour will give you the opportunity to know more about Belarus which is still quite a mysterious entity for most foreigners. This destination deserves close study and promises to satisfy even well-travelled tourists. The Republic of Belarus has a rich cultural and historical heritage, the monuments will tell you of the country’s complicated history.


Day 1
Exploration of Minsk.

Arrival to Minsk II airport. Meeting at the airport and transfer to the city centre. Hotel check-in.

Night at the hotel.

Day 2
Minsk and an open-air museum named Dudutki

Guided tour of the city includes:

  • Independence Square and the Catholic church of Saint Simon and Saint Helena (also known as the Red Church).
  • The Cathedral of the Holy Spirit with the Mother of God icon of the XVI century.
  • Minsk City Hall which was built in 1600 in the center of Minsk.
  • The zero kilometer on Oktyabrskaya Square.
  • National Library of Belarus, which offers a panoramic view of the city.
  • Island of Courage and Sorrow, an evocative Afghan war memorial.
  • Visit to an open-air museum ‘Dudutki’ which is dedicated to Belarusian culture of the XIX century.

Night at the hotel.

A visit to the Belarus State Circus or the National Academic Grand Opera and Ballet Theatre can be requested at an additional price.

Day 3
Grodno - the city of castles, palaces and museums.

Departure to Grodno.

Arrival and exploration of Grodno.

Guided tour in English includes:

  • Royal castles - The Old castle in Grodno, built by the Grand Duke Vitovt in the XIV-XV centuries and the New Castle in the rococo style built in XVIIc.
  • The Church of St Boris and St Gleb, or the Kolozha Church which is situated on the bank of the river.
  • The church of the Holy Cross Discovery and the Bernardine monastery are in the styles of Gothic, Renaissance and Baroque.
  • The Catholic Church of St. Francis Xavier masterpiece of Belarus baroque and its Jesuit monasteries.
  • Great Synagogue in the style of Russian art Nouveau, built in the end of XIXc.

Transfer and hotel check-in.

Day 4
Exploration of Brest.

Arrival to Brest, transfer and hotel check-in.

Guided tour of the city includes:

  • Gogol street an open-air museum which includes 40 iron lampposts in the form of sculptures inspired by the literature of Nikolai Gogol.
  • The Railway station in Brest both marble and railway museum.
  • Holy Simeon Cathedral (1861-1864) and the Church of the Exaltation of the Holy Cross which is in the historical and cultural value list.
  • St. Nicholas Brethren Church (1906).
  • Sovetskaya pedestrian street with its restaurants, shops and boutiques.

Day 5
Belovezhskaya Pushcha

Morning tour to Brest fortress which is one of the most significant historical monuments of the Great Patriotic War.

Short transfer to Belovezhskaya Pushcha, one of the last relic forests in Europe which is a Biosphere Reserve added to the UNESCO Heritage List in 1976.

Arrival, transfer and check-in.

Exploration of Belovezhskaya Pushcha and guided tour there. Visit to Father Frost residence (Father Frost is like Santa Claus in the former USSR countries).

Night at the farmhouse.

Day 6
Belarus castles and palaces

Transfer to Mir.

Arrival and city tour which includes:

  • The Mir Castle which is a UNESCO World Heritage site.
  • The Trinity Church in pseudo-Russian style in Mir (XVI c).
  • The Catholic Church, built by order of Radziwill Sirotka, Grand Court Marshal of Lithuania (1579).

Transfer to Nesvizh and the city tour:

  • the Radziwills’ family residence.
  • the Catholic Church of the God’s Body in Jesuit baroque style.

Return to Minsk. Night at the hotel.

Day 7
Departure

Transfer to the airport. Departure.
