We invite you to visit the oldest porcelain factory in St. Petersburg, located within 45-minute drive from the historic center of the city. The Lomonosov Porcelain Factory, founded in 18th century, used to produce the porcelain items for the royal family.

During the tour, you will learn the secrets of porcelain production (vases, dishes, statues); the unique technique was invented by Vinogradov, a Russian scientist, 275 years ago. The Russian Porcelain is best known for its high quality and fine painting. Frequently porcelain items become beautiful works of art and are displayed in museums such as the Hermitage. Unattractive clay and quartz will turn into ‘white gold’, you will see all stages of artwork creation such as casting, burning and painting.

After the tour, you will be invited to the master class of porcelain painting. A professional artist will provide all necessary equipment along with the paints, introduce you to the painting techniques as well as help you to create a souvenir. You will paint a porcelain cup, a saucer or a jewel box (based on own preference).

Please pay attention: the tour is only available during the workdays.
