The Imperial Porcelain Factory




We invite you to visit the oldest porcelain factory in St. Petersburg, located within 45-minute drive from the historic center of the city. The Lomonosov Porcelain Factory, founded in 18th century, used to produce the porcelain items for the royal family.
During the tour, you will learn the secrets of porcelain production (vases, dishes, statues); the unique technique was invented by Vinogradov, a Russian scientist, 275 years ago. The Russian Porcelain is best known for its high quality and fine painting. Frequently porcelain items become beautiful works of art and are displayed in museums such as the Hermitage. Unattractive clay and quartz will turn into ‘white gold’, you will see all stages of artwork creation such as casting, burning and painting.
After the tour, you will be able to visit the factory store and to buy porcelain items if desired. Besides if you are interested to create your own unique souvenir, kindly join to the porcelain painting master class.
