Gastronomic Tour in St. Petersburg, 5 days – 4 nights


















There are plenty of great palaces, famous museums, authentic markets full of local food, gourmet food stores, unusual cafés and haute-cuisine restaurants (where you can try traditional or modern Russian food, Soviet cuisine or Russian fast food as well). If you choose this tour, you will see major sights along with experiencing skillfully cooked Russian cuisine.
Transfer and checking into the hotel
Museum of Russian Vodka, tasting session of three kinds of local vodka and traditional chasers.
Free dinner at the ‘Rumochnaya 1’ restaurant. The menu consists of traditional Russian cuisine such as beef stroganoff, chicken Kiev, Russian honey cake ‘Medovik’ and fruit-drink.
City Tour by car, introduction to the historic area of the city and visiting a local market. Vendors will offer numerous local products such as mushrooms, northern berries, honey, exotic jam, herbs and herbal tea.
Lunch in the art cafe specializing in Soviet cuisine, you will check out dishes that Russians usually prepare for holidays such as well-known Russian salad and Russian aspic.
In the evening, you will have the culinary master class at ‘Petrusha’ restaurant. You will prepare and sample Russian ravioli and varenyky . A dinner is not included in the program.
In the morning, you will visit the Hermitage, one of the most famous and oldest art museums in the world. After the excursion, you will try Russian fast food (well-known pancakes with different toppings from salmon to chocolate and bananas. Once this is done you will have a guided gastronomic walk on the Nevsky Avenue, you will check out the old-fashioned confectionery ‘Pyshechnaya’ (worldwide famous Russian donuts) and the fabulous ‘Yeliseyev' shop, known for gourmet food (caviar, cheese, pastries etc.). In the evening, you will enjoy the dishes of modern Russian cuisine in a gastro-bar. These dishes are highly recommended in the prestigious French gastronomic guide of ‘Gault et Millau’.
From Mai until mid of October:
You will enjoy the gorgeous palace, the large and charming park, the lower and upper gardens and over 100 impressive fountains (the most famous ensembles of fountains are the Grand Cascade and the Samson fountain) in Peterhof. Then you will have dinner at ‘Stolle’ restaurant which is famous for its sweet pies such as cherry, cranberry, cream cheese and in addition there are salty pies such as salmon, beef, rabbit meat, mushroom & potato.
From the end of October until April:
Pushkin City Tour; you will visit the luxurious Catherine Palace, the incredible ballroom, the Amber Room, Agate Rooms and beautiful gardens.
You will have lunch at ‘Podvorye’ isba-restaurant, immersing in the authentic atmosphere. You will try the following dishes: cranberry beef; roast pork marinated vegetables platter, pancakes with a cranberry syrup and so forth.
